The Weibel Museum displays 20 pieces of horse-drawn antique farm equipment and other historical items that were used by our ancestors in the years 1820 - 1920.  The Wapello County Fair Board of Directors provided a building on the fairgrounds to house the antique farm equipment donated by Jerry Weibel.  Jerry and his wife Mary Lynn operate the "Horse and Buggy Museum" in Biggsville, Illinois.  Jerry Weibel wanted to donate some of the antique farm equipment he had collected to a venue that would be able to display and care for the equipment - and he chose the Wapello County Fair because of the Iron Show that is held on the grounds each September.  Local volunteers transported the equipment and will help maintain the Weibel Museum on the Wapello County Fairgrounds.  The Wapello County Fairboard is currently seeking funds to create permanent display signage and to create a QR code link system so that museum visitors can access photos and videos related to the antique farm equipment.  Special Tours are available...contact the Wapello County Fair at 641 455 4680 to make advance arrangements.
